Drink coffee, stop for an aperitif or enjoy a delicious breakfast (breakfast on reservation) The Runstnerhof is an old farmhouse in the middle of the Adige Valley between Bolzano and Merano. A jewel, romantically embedded at the entrance of the village of Gargazon. The stone walls of the cellar date back to the 14th century. Every generation made this farmhouse a special place in its own way. Old things have stood still and new ideas bring a breath of fresh air into the timberwork: Since 2020, the Runstnerhof has been home to a small, fine farm café. With 30 seats indoors and plenty of colourful open space at the tables in the garden, it is a magnet for secret nature lovers and discerning breakfast lovers.

Heartly cooking is the focus of our restaurant. We offer traditional and new dishes: our chef creates delightful secrets of local specialities. And marvelous desserts as surprising end of your meal.

In the comfortable restaurant in our historic farm are mainly served products directly of our own farm and field. Perfect for year group celebrations, birthday parties, company parties or the typical South Tyrolean autumn tradition, the so called Törggelen. Among tasty South Tyrolean quality products and Mediterranean digestibility you can enjoy from morning to evening the variety of the gastronomic pleasures. Enjoy in our garden coffee and homemade apple strudel, the typical Tyrolean afternoon snack “Marende” or a fruit buffet. Our homemade juices taste best after a beautiful bike tour with the whole family.

The Café Mitterhofer is located in the center of San Candido and is every season the ideal place to linger, chat and relax. Located 9 km from the Brennerpass, Hotel Schuster offers cozy rooms in 70s style. All rooms are en suite, some of the rooms are located in the annex building 50m away. The Hotel features a bar/café open to public 5 days a week (closed on tuesdays and wednesdays). It also features an on-site ski/bike room. The reception is open daily from 7:30 am to 11 am and from 3pm till 7 pm. Hotel Schuster is a good starting point for hikes and bike rides, since we are located in the heart of the Alps and on the main bike route.

Reachable also on foot in about 20 minutes (from Vierschach/Versciaco) or easily accessible by chairlift Raut. In our winery in the heart of Laives, where regional and national traditions melt into each other, everyone can enjoy a good glass of wine. In the comfortable cellar in rustic style we serve different wines and schnapps with small appetizers. A special feature of our vinery are the steel tanks, filled with wine. Our guests can taste the different types of wine and if you want to buy some, the wine will get filled in in designated bottles. On request we make also wine tastings with our sommelier.
