The little ones are calling the shots next to the Kuppelwies cable car mountain station — this sunny field has been made into an ample practice park for our youngest guests. Soft slopes with fun characters and two modern Sunkid conveyor lifts, 60 and 80 meters long, make learning to ski fun!
While the kids frolic and slide in the snow — with or without skis — their parents and grandparents can enjoy the winter sun on the terrace right next door. Schwemmy Kinderland is open to all guests, even adult beginners and enthusiastic sledders. The Kinderland, skating rink and cross-country run make the cable car mountain station the new place for snow fun in the Ultental Valley.

New local recreation area "Rosskopf Relax" near the mountain station of Sterzing's local mountain Rosskopf. Along the stream near the hamlet of "Burgum" you can hear the whisper of one of the most beautiful natural monuments in the region. When the sunlight shines on it, uncountable cascades of a filigree waterfall shine in numerous beautiful colours. Between the cascades a dark olive-green moss grows, saturated with crystal clear and fresh water. It is tough to decide from which angle you have the best view of the waterfall. A few years ago, this spring waterfall was placed under conservation and is now a natural monument that should not be missed. Take the chance and come to rest and dream in this magical place. This natural monument can be found in the wooded Burgum valley on the way to the hut “Sterzinger Hütte” on path nr. 2.

"The Sleeping Giant"local recreation area in Neumarkt/Egna. The "The Sleeping Giant" park is a local recreation area with an area of 8 hectares, equipped with a playground for children, a relaxation area for adults, picnic space, and a pond for fishermen. A giant is located in the middle of the park, arranged for children to climb on. Adults can relax on several hammocks, park benches, and sunbeds. The recreation area is located near the Trodena River, a "sleeping giant" because of its calm flow but, once "awakened," it can get really dangerous.

The magnificent world of the forest in Dobbiaco invites kids to play, climb, jump and to learn through interactive play. The central element is a wooden platform. Strands of root radiate into the surrounding environment, with trees for climbing, isolated “woodpecker tree”, otter slide, bare-foot circuit, birds nest, high jump facility and more. There are information stations with explanations about the woods, fungi, forest soil and animal tracks. There is also a geology station. There is also an interesting tree house, a Celtic tree horoscope and the Nature Park House Three Peaks in the nearby Grand Hotel.
There are two public playgrounds in Marling. One of them is directly alongside the fairground (A. Pattisstrasse), whilst the other is a little lower down on Tiefackerweg. The playgrounds are open from 8 am to 10 pm. Animals are not permitted to enter the playgrounds. In addition, unnecessary noise should be avoided, particularly during the lunch hour between 1 and 2 pm.
The playground is situated behind the tennis court and offers the opportunity to play in harmony with nature, thanks also to the near placed watering place of the Solda stream.
