The farm Lindenwirt exists since 1858 and has changed ownership several times. 1956 Franz Reifer bought the farm from the Italian State. Franz managed the farm and also a inn with his wife Marianne. The family kept a few of cows and chickens. 2001 Franz handed over the farm to his son Philipp. Previously a dairy farm, he decided to convert the farm to growing berries.
We also opened our farm shop, where we sell our fresh fruits, seasonal vegetables and South Tyrolean specialities. At Lindenwirt we grow strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and some cherries.
Mair Egon offers a wide range of groceries. Next to bread, meat and cheese they also provide tobaccos, stamps and journals.
Once you are here, take a hike through the Sommersürs biotope, also called Samesirs, located in a basin between the villages of Naz and Fiumes/Viums. The small habitat of little more than 2 hectares is a biotope of diverse fauna and flora. It is an invaluable refuge for numerous aquatic insects and birds, along with amphibians and reptiles. Cattail, sedge, and marsh clover populate the shallow lake shore.
Other nature habitats in the Natz-Schabs holiday region include Raiermoos, Zussis and Laugen.
The tour leads through the village of Natz and then turns right onto the Villages round trip [Dörferrunde] through the Fruhnwald forest up to the Waldertor viewpoint. Past Viums and the Viummer Kreuz cross, the route leads mainly through forest paths up to Schabs. Continue through the village trip through forest and later through orchards and then go left along the Villages round trip, up to the Flötscher Weiher pond. At the Seehof Hotel, cross the road and continue through meadows and woods, always
along the signposted road to Raas. Continue through the cultural grounds passing the water reservoir back to the street towards Natz. Follow the street to the right, at the Laugen sports field following the sign Dörferrunde. From here, the Villages round trip leads back to the starting point.
The farm shop „Häuslerhof“ is located on the sunny high apple plateau of Natz-Schabs on a sea level of 820 metres. In autumn when the apples of our proper orchards are ripe, they are picked, carefully squeezed and transformed into apple juice. Its tasty flavour of delicious fruits is a perfect thirst quencher, which we offer in our farm shop, along with fruitspreads, treacles, honey and wine.

A Fascination for Bees
When people hear the word 'Bee' they think of honey, or perhaps they recall the pain of a sting.
My life as a beekeeper began when I was a child. Over the years I experienced the discomfort of a bee’s sting many times, yet I still retain a passion for these beautiful animals.
Our family operates around eighty beehives and the quality of our honey is most important. We only harvest from honeycomb that is sealed by the bees for storage, so that the honey retains all the vital elements. Our honey is unblended and pure, and is certified with the ‘Extracted Honey’ quality label. Our honeycombs are free from larvae and residues, giving this premium quality honey a delicious unique flavour.
Through the season we harvest the following types of honey:
• Apple Honey
• Spring flower Honey
• Acacia Honey
• Linden and Chestnut Tree Honey
• Alps Flower Honey
• Rhododendron Honey
• Honeydew Honey
• Fir Honey
Other products from our apiculture include:
• Raw Propolis
• Comb Honey
• Pollen
• Beeswax Candles

The building consists of lightweight walls, which are lined with rough chestnut wood slats and girded by retaining walls and ceilings made of exposed concrete. The concrete slabs, formed using coarse plywood formwork, were skilfully embedded into the terrain so that the building is harmoniously nestled into the steep slope. The rooms for filling, packaging and maturation are located completely underground, which has an added advantageous cooling effect. The tasting and sales room is glazed floor to ceiling and the chestnut wood battens in front of the window provide a visible filter. Natural materials, such as clay plaster, black plate, slate floor and oiled wood, characterise the room. The sparse furnishings with bar tables and a service line help to keep the focus on the essentials - the wines. Light shines diffusely from above, yet into the room in a targeted manner. From the tasting room, small peepholes offer an insight into the "holy of holies," the vintage cellar. Here the best wines are matured and skilfully presented. The considerate care for the landscape and the selected natural materials also reflect Garlider's philosophy in the production of organic wines.
Fresh bread, milk, salt and sugar, sausages and cheese, tasty jams and marmalades, daily newspapers and magazines, a nice bottle of wine, tobacco… here you'll find everything that you could need for a stay in our holiday.
Whether you are quickly picking up the bread rolls for breakfast or want to buy in for your next evening meal, our grocer's shop offers a good selection of local and Italian specialities for everyday use. And best of all, as our market is located right here, you don’t even need to leave to go shopping…
Take a walk on the nature trail around the Raiermoos biotope, where you can hear the songs of rare bird types and spot a variety of wildlife. The Raiermoos habitat was originally a large lake that was formed about 12,000 years ago on clayey moraines. Here, primeval populations settled on stilt houses.
Today, the Raiermoos is a biotope and habitat for endangered flora and fauna. Reeds, cattails, rushes, and marsh trefoil surround the lake. It offers a sanctuary to frogs, newts, salamanders, and snakes. Many migratory birds
such as herons and storks find here a safe and peaceful place to stay.
Other nature habitats in the Natz-Schabs holiday region include Sommersürs, Zussis and Laugen.
Its successful scale, the distribution of its building volumes and its integration into the site unite the new building so harmoniously with the village structure that one would think it had been standing there since ever. Only upon second glance does one notice that the architecture is a reinterpretation of South Tyrolean residential construction forms ̶ without the Alpine decor. Pitched roofs atop solid plastered masonry with perforated facades and the construction raising from the ground, without a plinth, carry forward this architectural tradition. The building’s connecting components, made of glass and with carefully designed details, are thematic of our time; the woodwork, meanwhile, carries on the traditions of local carpenters and woodcarvers. All this results in a child-friendly environment, with an atmosphere that appears self-evident and a high comfort factor.
