Since 1989, the health food shop Euvita also belongs to the Pharmacy Peer in Brixen. The idea behind setting up this shop was to help our customers and patients not only in the case of illness with medicine. A healthy way of living that can counteract the development of many illnesses is fostered by a wide choice of high quality food products, natural body care products and practical information.

The castle was build in the 14th century. The lock was seat of the former court of Gufidaun. 1880 the well-known Germanist Ignaz Zingerle bought the expanded castle plant and today she is still inhabited by its descendants and cannot be visited.

The gallery Hofburg is a meeting place for lovers of art, especially the nativity figures - such as the Neapolitan - and modern art. Jacob Kompatscher's collection includes nativity figures, complete cribs, wooden carvings, sculptures and paintings by well-known local, national and international artists such as Angela Tripi from Sicily, Adriano Colombo from Veneto or Leo Demetz from South Tyrol. In the heart of the picturesque old town, its two workshops at the same time became a meeting place and forum for numerous artists and art lovers. In fact, the visitor is not only given the opportunity to admire and discover numerous works, but there is also space for conversation with the artists about art itself.

The second campus of the Free University of Bozen - Bolzano is in the charming town of Brixen - Bressanone.
The Faculty of Education together with the annexed University Library is housed in the new university complex in Regensburger Allee 16.

At the eastern side of Brixen, beyond the confluence of the Rienz river and the Eisack river, in the village of Milland a new parish church was built between 1984-1985, and it is consecrated to the Saint Father Josef Freinademetz. The church is a curiosity, a work of modern architecture, a sacred place full of light.In the basement, there is an exhibition about the life and the work of the church patron, the Saint Father Josef Freinademetz, the Tyrolian China- missionary.

The parish church "zu Maria Himmelfahrt" (of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary) is the oldest: the Chapel of Our Lady, built in 1112, was used as a parish church from 1170. It was rebuilt between 1499 and 1515, but its current style – Late Gothic – dates from its rebuilding between 1894 and 1899 according to plans drawn up by the Viennese architect Weber.

Galerie Hofburg is a meeting point for the lovers of art in all its facets. Particularly, we pay much attention to the figurines for Christmas cribs. The collection, gathered by Jacob Kompatscher, includes figurines for Christmas cribs, complete Nativity scenes, wooden sculptures, sculptures and paintings of famous local and international artists, such as Angela Tripi, Adriano Colombo and Leo Demetez.

For over twenty years, Jakob Kompatscher has been passionately devoting himself to art in all its facets. Native of Brixen, Jakob is a son of Master bookbinder Walter Kompatscher (*1934) and a great-grandson of homonymous Jakob Kompatscher who founded one of the most ancient bookbinderies in Brixen.

The chapel Floriani is located directly on the village square next to the church.

A tandem flight with a paraglider is a truly unforgettable adventure set in the mountains of South Tyrol. As soon as after a short run the wind lifts the glider into the air, an overwhelming feeling of weightlessness sets in. Like a bird with widely spread wings you will be flying over green pastures, small mountain villages and deep forests. The world is at your feet, and only the placid sound of the wind breaks the magnificent silence during the flight. During a paraglider tandem flight you may enjoy fantastic views of craggy mountain peaks and deep valleys. Above them, the colourful paraglider arches in front of a blue sky, and sporadically white clouds pass by. You will enjoy a unique sensation when looking at the South Tyrolean mountains from an aerial perspective and feel the awesome emotion of endless freedom.

The Jochtal Adventure Park, which is an adventure trail starting at the Jochtal cable car mountain terminal and leading all the way to the Steinermandl panoramic platform. Along the way you will find a petting zoo, a water park, a deer-shaped climbing feature and other exciting games. Make sure you pack sunscreen, a hat and a change of clothes and… have a good time!

The formation of the pyramids in Terento probably dates back to 1837. As a result of a strong storm, the Ternerbach River swept away 3 residential houses, 16 mills, 13 beaters, a smiths and a sawmill. 13 people died during this storm. It is very likely that the slope started to disintegrate as a result of this storm. Over the following decades, the erosion had an impact on two different types of debris: the classic pyramids were formed from the material mix with stone blocks; from the material containing no stone blocks only ravines and ridges were formed. The parish church of the same name, which was first mentioned in 1177, is located in the rapidly growing capital St. Andrä. Its late gothic reconstruction in the period around 1485 with a presbytery and tower which is still characteristic today.  In the 18th century a striking baroque style was introduced. Georg Tangl, director of the Brixen seminary and  priest of St. Andrä, provided for a rich decoration with stucco (Franz Singer) around 1770. Around 1736 the ceiling frescoes by Jakob Jennewein depicting the martyrdom of St. Andrew were painted. In 1930 the altarpiece was painted by Johann Baptist Oberkofler.

The Maria Hilf Chapel in the cemetery is a compact octagonal building dating from 1696, and the octagon, a work by the Bolzano master builder Delai, is considered an important model of Baroque central building. The altars of Mary, Anthony and Notburga are also works of art from the late 17th century.

The little church of the saint Mauritius in Sauders is situated to the south of the village centre. The church was mentioned the first time in an official document in 1406. Around 1670 the little church was converted in a baroque style. However, the church and some surrounding houses were burned to ashes by the French in 1793. Nowadays, the painting at the high altar represents the patron saint of the church. The key for a visit can be received at the “Winklerhof – farm”.

The lookout platform with a description of the individual peaks in the vicinity is located on the Astjoch, a popular summit on the alps of Rodengo-Luson.
