Leisure point: Hotel Bad Bergfall and Inn Trattes.
From the Antholz Valley to the Furkelpass/Passo Furcia (Altitude difference: 728 m | Lenght: 10,2 km)
The bike trail of Val Pusteria/Pustertal goes through grasses and fields and crosses in the first part some villages and the little city of Brunico/Bruneck. The good sun exposition makes it practicable also at the beginning of the season, the transport of bikes with the train of Val Pusteria/Pustertal makes independent from the car. The 70 km and the 300 m of altitude difference going out of the valley ask for a basic level of training condition. The trailway offers anyway the advantage of being able to interrupt the trail and cover the remaining part on the train. Also families with kids, in this way, run no risks.
Along the Pustertal cycling route to Welsberg / Monguelfo.
"Are you searching a change to cycling? The true bike adventure begins by mountain biking in the Anterselva Valley! "
Both children and adults will enjoy the new MTB area behind the fish pond in Anterselva di Sotto. 3 downhill tracks with different degrees of difficulty and a pumptrack for children awaits you.

From the Antholz Valley along the Pustertal bike route to Villabassa to the Kurpark spa (playground).
„View over the Valle di Anterselva/Antholzertal“
Nice tour of medium lenght passing the southern woods of Valdaora/Olang in order to arrive at the beautifully situated Alp Angerer, where bikers can enjoy a restorative stop with an amazing view.
Leisure points: Angerer Alm
From Valdaora/Olang starts the trail in direction Anterselva/Antholz. Starting from Valdaora/Olang in direction of the Industrial Zone, either starting from Valdaora di Sopra/Oberolang from the road Erschbaum or from Valdaora di Mezzo/Mittelolang, following Via Stazione. From the Industrial Zone you go on for a short but uphill distance on the asphalted road in direction Rasun/Rasen. From here you follow the road until the traffic circle and then you turn first left, cross the bridge and the turn immediatly right on a country road. Follow this road up to Rasun di Sopra/Oberrasen. Once there, turn right before the bridge and follow the bike trail, that mainly follows the stream of Anterselva/Antholz, in direction of the valley. After 4 km of breath-taking landscapes of the Valle di Anterselva/Antholzertal, you get nearer to Anterselva di Sotto/Niederantholz. Beside the cross near the village there is a little lake with the possibility to fish. To go back, just do the same road.
Since summer 2022 you can visit the new MTB Skill Area in Oberolang!
There you will find an approx. 500 m long natural trail with many different practice elements for beginners & kids.

A small uphill trail rounds it all off.

COURSE DETAILS
We would like to thank the administration B.N.R. Oberolang for providing the space and the two shapers Ale and Davide who helped us start the process.
From Niederrasen to Oberolang and ahead to the Brunst Alm hut (managed)
The Pustertal Valley Bike Route is particularly suitable for bicycle tours and family cycling tours, not only for beginners but also for experts. The paved bike path starts in Rio Pusteria-Mühlbach and leads via the villages of Vandoies di Sotto-Niedervintl, Vandoies di Sopra-Obervintl, Chienes-Kiens, Casteldarne-Ehrenburg and S. Lorenzo-St. Lorenzen to Brunico-Bruneck. This first section is very flat and 25.5 km long.
From Brunico, it takes about Perca-Percha, Valdaora di Sotto-Niederolang, Valdaora di Mezzo-Mitterolang, Valdaora di Sopra-Oberolang, Ried, Villabassa-Niederdorf and Dobbiaco-Toblach to San Candido-Innichen. This second section is again very flat, 33.5 km long, and suitable for everyone.
The third section takes us from San Candido on Versciaco-Vierschach to Prato Drava-Winnebach where you cross the Austro-Italian border. Now follow along the Drava River to Lienz. This last subsection is 44 km long, very easy, and ideal for families. For the return, we can use the train to come back to the starting point. If the total distance is too long, you can also take only a small part of the track, and the rest you can travel by train.
Cycling route from Neunhäusern to Antholz Mittertal
The reminiscence of the Giro d'Italia. Walk in the footsteps of the racing bike stars and Giro legends and cover 769 m of altitude. The (sports) history-laden adventure tour does not yet take you to the Stallersattel, but "only" to the Antholz Lake. That should be enough to warm you up. The ride along the valley cycle path through Olang and the Anthiolz Valley offers a great first overview - but the last climb to the biathlon centre gives you a real Giro feeling. Don't forget your pink jersey!
„Back and forth on the Mitterberg“
Short but not very easy route across the woods in the south of Valdaora/Olang, well-known as a good stretch for training. As both ways are interesting to do, you can find signing in both directions.
„At the borders of the Natural Park Fanes-Sennes-Braies“
Along the rushing Brunst stream you will enter the valley of the same name and continue on a winding stretch to finally reach your destination: the Alp Brunst where to enjoy a well-deserved pause.
Leisure points: Brunst Alm
Easy bike tour through the lower Pustertal Valley, with some slight ascents.
Antholz Niedertal > Redensberg > Aschbach > Nasen > Antholz Valley
