Man’s fascination with mountains has been unbroken as long as anyone can remember.

LUMEN gives this fascination a photographic home: located at the summit of the region Kronplatz (in South Tyrol), 1,800 square metres are dedicated to mountain photography.

Spanning four floors LUMEN offers the possibility to experience the history of mountain photography from its beginnings until the present as well as displaying the art of mountain-photographers from all over the world.

Take a plunge into the mystic tales of the Dolomites. Discover the sites where legends were forged.

On your search for a hidden treasure, your aim is to collect letters from a total of nine stations and spell out the mysterious solution. The quest begins at the Concordia 2000 peace bell and ends at its miniature version in the Little Kronplatz adventure park. Those who’ve successfully discovered all nine letters have also had a chance to marvel at some impressive sights at the top of Mount Kronplatz.

How does the treasure hunt work?

• Upon buying a junior or children's ticket, you will receive a stamp card for the solution, a map and instructions from any of the ticket offices in the valley stations.
• Visit the nine stations in the right order and stamp the letters on the respective field on your card.
• Once you’ve found all the letters and spell out the correct word, you can collect your treasure from one of our mountain stations.

• Where: The stations are spread out around the summit.

  Prices: When you buy a children’s or junior ticket, the Kronplatz treasure hunt is included free of charge.

Where in winter everyone has fun tobogganing and practising their skiing, in summer fabulous tyre sliding is on the agenda. Summer tubing, as this fun and trendy family activity is known, is available at the Kids’ Area in Olang. And even though the snow-covered slopes have given way to green pastures, fun and activities are still the order of the day. The range of summer entertainments includes: Kids’ Fun Camp with dirt boards, grass skis and bikes, trampoline, giant airbags, tubing park. Added to this is a fantastic 3D bow and arrow course for all the family, which also reveals all kinds of information about the local wildlife. Reasons enough for the whole family to have a fantastic holiday, wouldn’t you agree?... 

Would you like to play beach volleyball and dive about in the sand like the pros? At the outdoor swimming pool Valdaora/Olang you have the possibility to do this.

In our family business you will find a wide range of shoes, from elegant one to sport ones, bothe for man and woman and for kids to and you will also find combined socks. In addiction, we also offer a hand made reparation service.

We didactically developed our ski programme in order to always guarantee great results for both beginners and intermediate students. A ski holiday with children at the ski school KRON is a truly special experience. While your children during the courses are taught according to the latest didactic programmes, they will still have heaps of fun, and you may enjoy great hours skiing.

Mount Kronplatz is already a success story – and still, there is always room for yet more potential in both summer and winter. With the MMM Corones project, Kronplatz has now written another historic chapter which adds a distinct cultural flavour to this outstanding example of Alpine competence. Inaugurated in 2003, the striking Concordia 2000 peace bell was a first step towards a wider cultural offer. And now, with the MMM Corones, an exciting new milestone has followed suit. The museum was designed and built by world-renowned Zaha Hadid, by many considered the most talented and innovative architect of our time. Zaha Hadid, Reinhold Messner and Kronplatz – that’s an impressive three key brands joining forces for this exciting new project. My name is Martin Baumgartner, and I was born in 1987; I’m also known as Jochele Martin, because I grew up on Jochelehof farm. I trained as a motor mechanic, and I now manage Jochelehof farm together with my family. I love walking in the mountains, both in summer and winter. In 2018, I passed the “certified alpine skier guide” exam, and I will be happy to accompany you up into the mountains. You can choose one of the many classic routes or opt for one of the lesser-known trails.

When the Dolomites and the Plan de Corones shed their white mantel, at the Cimaschool the activities continue nonstop! Summer offers many opportunities to explore the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and for this reason Cimaschool has developed a vast program of summer activities.

Many of our guests do not limit themselves to just skiing, but also come to South Tyrol to enjoy hiking, climbing or cycling tours. What could be better than an exploratory tour with a knowledgeable local guide? Some of our collaborators are not only ski instructors, but hiking guides, athletic trainers and bike guides: they know our territory perfectly, so they are the most suited for introducing our guests to the beauty of South Tyrol through a wide range of activities.

We also organize excursions in collaboration with various hotels. Since Plan de Corones has also become a tourist attraction in the summer, our shop and souvenir shop located on the top of the mountain, as well as our shop in the center of Valdaora di Mezzo, all remain open even in summer.
