The small menu offers dishes and specialities that change with the seasons, which will delight both big and small connoisseurs. And because even the best food doesn’t taste good without a cosy atmosphere, we have thought of everything. Floor-to-ceiling glass fronts bring nature in and give you a clear view of it: the flower meadow and playground, the cottage garden and the stables with animals to pet and love.

The ancient inn: The Traube is documented as an inn in texts dating from the 17th century. The Niedermair family, who runs the hotel, has owned the ancient building for the last hundred years. Es finden im Sommer verschiedene Veranstaltungen statt wie das Brotbacken im urigem Steinbackofen, wo Sie miterleben können wie das Brot entsteht und natürlich gibt es auch Brot zum mit nach Hause nehmen. Zu Mittag gibt es Grillfeiern sowie Fondue auf Vorbestellung.

After dinner (typical South Tyrolean cuisine), there's plenty of choice of homemade cakes. And of course we also offer delicious cakes for guests with lactose intolerance, celiac disease or nut allergy – there really is something here for everyone!

Initial approach is from Valdaora di Sopra (Oberolang): drive to the parking area for tourists (approx. 1,160 m) below the Riedlerhöfe Farms. From there, follow trail markings (No. 20), first along a forest road to Rio Bruns (Brunstbach) Stream. Turn left again at the nearby crossroads, and head through the steep wooded slopes, partly on a forest road and then mostly on a steep footpath, up to a forested ridge. The last segment is a slope crossing, partly flat, over to the Brunstalm pasture and its mountain ??hut (1,898 m; serving food); 2 to 2.5 hours from the starting point. Descent: same as ascent described above or the easier, albeit longer, forest road; 1.5 to 2 hrs.

Our guesthouse is a farm dating back to the 13th century. For more than 400 years this has been a refuge for guests. The Panorama shelter is placed in the middle of the ski slopes of Kronplatz, at 2050 meters above sea level. Our costumer usually reach us by sky, and their baggages are transported to destination from our snowmobiles. There are no secrets as to how we come up with our culinary creations, we simply have a clear approach to what makes good food: The use of local, natural, biological products that are fresh and seasonal. Artificial seasonings, additives and processed food are off-limits. We believe that this is the first requirement for an excellent meal. This alone however is clearly not enough. Imagination and creativity are also required- but above all we rely on our chefs special culinary skills and talent. All of this is combined with great hospitality and excellent service. Part of South Tyrolean culture is South Tyrolean warmth; treating our guests comes naturally to us. Nothing has to be forced, as we gain pleasure by satisfying our guests. Every day that ends at our restaurant ends with a real highlight: a wonderful dinner with friends.

The court Obermair Ehrenburg in Kiens, The first written mention of Obermair goes back to 1318 and is thus one of the oldest farms in the area. Initially belonged to the court of the Count Goertz, then the estate was frequently sold, inherited and sold again. Since 1860, guests at the inn run Obermair and already in 1900 the Obermairhof of Falkensteiner family has farmed. As you can see our kitchen pot is filled to the brim ... combined, refined dishes with an occasional touch of the exotic. Just the "magic of the diversity of South Tyrol".
