I In the village center of Moos in Passeier you find the butcher Hofer, which is known for high quality of bacon, meat and sausages. The Hofer family has been practicing the butcher's trade with passion, precision and craftsmanship for over 55 years. The butcher is leaded by the second generation, from the brothers Kurt and Kilian Hofer, who took it from their parents Franz Hofer and Maria Girtler. Of particular importance for the Hofer family is the quality of their products. The processing process begins directly in our own slaughterhouse. Where the staff process the meat of fawns, lambs, cattle, calves, sheep and pigs with great care. Then it will process professionally in the sausage production and in the bacon production. Val Venosta is regarded as the perfect home of the apple - dry, abundant sunshine and yet not too warm and the perfect altitude. In Naturns, over 340 members deliver their harvest to the Texel cooperative, which is responsible for storage, sales and marketing.
Apples delivered directly by the producer can be bought in the in-house retail shop.
The more than 730 year old Schildhof Obergereuth in St. Martin in Passeier has been an organic certified farm for 22 years. In addition to our beautiful, functional grain mill and the historic courtyard building, we have had an additional highlight on our organic farm since 2018: the first organic craft distillery in the Passeier Valley. We organize farm tours, tastings and specialty evenings in our special gourmet shop. In the leather sofa of the “Distillate Longe Greiter” connoisseurs and the curious can enjoy our products and from April 2021 we will pamper our visitors in the courtyard coffee with special, climate-neutral, delicacies not only from grandmother's recipe book but also reinterpreted classics made from our own and near-farm products. In addition to gin, liqueurs and brandies, syrups and fruit spreads also enchant the gourmet's palate. All products are handcrafted and impress with their special quality.
The EUM cooperative operates 3 grocery stores in the Hinterpasseier/Alta Val Passiria municipality.
The shops provide the local population with basic necessities. Furthermore, they are an important social gathering point, a center of social life in Hinterpasseier.

The farm „Wegerhof“ is located 1,300 m above sea level in the small and sunny village of Stuls/Stulles in the Passeiertal valley. We manufacture our products with love and enthusiasm.
Since 2004, we use our silage-free pasture milk to produce our cheese according to the traditional procedure of cheese making. The cheese then matures in our cellar, until it gets its unique taste.
Our products: mountain cheese, medium-fat cheese, pepper cheese, garlic cheese, hay cheese, goat’s cheese, cream cheese, yogurt, butter, eggs, seasoned salt and various juices.
You can buy our products in our farm shop during the opening hours or by arrangement.
In addition to our farm shop, you may find our dairy products on the farmer’s market in Merano/Meran (Saturdays, all year round), on the market in Caldaro/Kaltern (Tuesdays, from April to November), in the C&C shop in S. Our cheese dairy is located above the village of St. Martin/S. Martino, at an elevation of 1,000 metres.
The goats and cows that produce the milk are fed with organically grown fodder, and processed into aromatic fresh cheeses. Our products are available from our farm store or sales outlets, including the Algund/Lagundo Dairy and “Spezialitäten Pamer” in St. Leonhard/S. Leonardo. Farm tours with cheese tastings can be arranged on request.
