A smugglers‘ farm turned into a gourmet farm. On the spot where, in times gone by, dealers carted their illicit wares back and forth between Italy and Austria, the farm’s guests can now enjoy delicacies prepared according to secret recipes. 300-year-old Tendershof farm is situated at a height of 1,160 metres above sea level amidst breathtaking scenery. The original Vinschgau bread is sourced from the local baker, the Wagyu beef from our own breeding programme and even our r30 cosmetics line, waiting for you in the Venosta Spa as well as in your suite, is derived from the natural treasures of the surrounding area. Guests wishing to do their bit can, for example, opt out of unnecessary towel changes or room cleaning and help to conserve resources. The principles of natural, local, high-quality and tasty food, produced under fair conditions, apply. As a social cooperative, we reintegrate disadvantaged people into working life. We are pleased to offer daily changing daily specials and a small fine dining menu. All dishes are homemade - dumplings and dumplings, our seasonal salad buffet. Almost exclusively regional and organic ingredients are used. We strive to be able to offer our customers the valuable products from local agriculture.

The Kanzel Hut is located at an altitude of 2,350 m, right next to the mountain station of the Kanzel cable car. This excellent location makes it a popular destination for hikers and mountain lovers. The Kanzel restaurant offers a diverse menu that ranges from classic dishes to delicious pasta variations and fresh salads. Particularly famous is the renowned Kaiserschmarrn, served here to perfection and a true delight for every palate. The bright, modern bar furnished with wood invites guests to linger and offers breathtaking views of Sulden and the impressive mountain world surrounding King Ortler. Here, you can unwind after an adventurous hike and fully enjoy the beauty of nature. The Kanzel Hut is easily accessible via hiking trails No. 5, 11, and 12. Alternatively, you can also conveniently reach the hut by the Kanzel or Rosim (open only in winter) cable car.

Kuppelrain is framed by trees and shrubs, you will find us directly at the small cozy station of Castelbello which has been modernized lately. Our proven team is still from Chef Jörg Trafoier and sommelier Sonya. Since the spring of 2013, is son Kevin Trafoier in the kitchen next to the stove and Jörg has his own style complements the creative dishes of our house and further developed. For some time, daughter Natalie Trafoier is now fully entered the family business. As a trained pastry chef and Patissière can expand our extensive range in our Bistrot perfect. That's us, Melanie and Josef with Philipp and Tobias, the new tenants of the "Stierbergalm". We are a young, motivated family and together we want to bring new impetus to the "Stierbergalm" this year. We very much hope that we will be able to satisfy both our guests and our many four-legged roommates on the alpine hut.

The Höfer Alm Alpine hut is a popular destination in summer as well as in winter. On the sun terrace you can enjoy a magnificent view of the mountains of the Ötztal Alps and the Ortler Group. The Höfer Alm spoils guests with homemade food and serves South Tyrolean fare and daily specials on its small menu. Hikers will certainly get their money's worth here. Without much effort, the hut at 2,066 metres altitude is easily accessible from the Watles valley station.

The K2 Hut is located at an altitude of 2,350 m, directly at the mountain station of the Langenstein chairlift. This location offers not only breathtaking views but also the opportunity to fully enjoy the fresh mountain air. The terrace of the mountain restaurant, which stands out for its unique archi-tectural design, invites you to bask in the sun in a relaxed atmosphere – with a direct view of the impressive Ortler. The menu at the K2 Hut is diverse: daily specials, juicy steaks, and delicious fish specialties are served, delighting both gourmets and hikers. A special highlight is the homemade apple strudel, which should never be missed during a visit. The K2 Hut is accessible via hiking trails 3 and 4. Alternatively, you can also conveniently reach the hut by the Langenstein chairlift.

We are pleased to serve you some special types of coffee such as genuine Italian cappuccino or a strong espresso on our sunny terrace while you enjoy the views of the Ortler mountain. In our modern coffee shop we offer you a variety of home-made products like South Tyrolean apple strudel, a piece of buckwheat gateau, as well as fruit tartlets and chestnut hearts. The freshness of these products and their local origin are vitally important to us. Some of the ingredients for our dishes include the Vinschgau apricot, berries from the Martell Valley, South Tyrolean speck and spicy Alpine cheese. A variety of sundaes and a number of savoury snacks, locally called ‘marende’, are the ideal accompaniment on a coffee table.

It is not without reason that the Monte Mezzo dì-Sonnenberg carries its name [“Midday Mountain” in Italian, “Sun Mountain” in German]. More than 250 days of sun per year can be counted here, the temperature differentials between day and night are extreme, and the amount of precipitation is lower than anywhere else in Alto Adige. These extraordinary conditions are used by Markus Fliri at the Himmelreich-Hof in Castelbello in order to produce wines with strong character.

Even if Castelbello does not lie within a typical winegrowing zone, wine has been produced at the Himmelreich-Hof since time immemorial. At least for their own use. But in 2004, that was no longer enough for the winegrower Fliri. He wanted to increase the production of quality wines at his estate and also offer them for sale – “interesting, top-quality wines” as the winegrower himself says.

The vineyards of the Himmelreich-Hof, just precisely two hectares, lie at an elevation of 650 meters, and the moraine soils, a remnant of the last ice age, have a high mineral content which can be tasted in the grapes. And thus also in the wine. “It is a matters of importance to us to produce natural, sincere wines with strong character,” says Fliri.

His assortment comprises Zweigelt, a red cuvée to which he has given the name “Himmelreich” [“Kingdom of Heaven”], and Pinot Noir. The young wines are transferred into small oak casks to age there and be able to mature in complete tranquility. In addition to those, there is also Pinot Blanc and, new to the Himmelreich-Hof’s assortment, Riesling.

So its name was not chosen by chance. At least for wine connoisseurs.

We spoil our guests in the heavenly restaurant with healthy and fresh cuisine in cozy rooms or in promising panoramic dining room. Enjoyable hours promises a unique gazebo on our stylish terrace Vinschgauer Sonnenberg. We seduce in the spring with fresh wild garlic dishes, as well as with the unique Biospargel from Kastelbell. It offers in summer salads, fresh strawberries and raspberries and sweet delights, such as the Passo apricot dumplings with Zimtbrösel. Autumn time - Treatment time hearty Törggele dishes and of course the popular poachers time! Our wine list offers exquisite white and red wines from renowned wineries, as well as fresh wine from Passo winemakers. Homemade juices from elderflower, strawberry, lemon balm are home-made.

The Kälberalm, located at an impressive altitude of 2,248 meters, is a true gem in the picturesque landscape of Sulden. This idyllic alpine pasture offers not only a refreshing break in nature but also a magnificent panorama that makes the heart of every mountain lover skip a beat. From here, breathtaking views of the majestic trio Ortler, Zebru, and Königspitze unfold, with their imposing peaks reaching towards the sky, creating an extraordinary backdrop for hikers and nature enthusiasts. The Kälberalm is easily accessible via hiking trails No. 18 and 19, which meander through a diverse alpine landscape. The well-marked routes are suitable for both experienced hikers and families, inviting everyone to fully enjoy the unspoiled nature. Whether taking a break at the pasture or during the ascent, the view of the surrounding mountains is simply spectacular, making a visit to the Kälberalm an unforgettable experience.
