This easy snowshoe hike goes along the southern edge of the Puez-Odle Nature Park (UNESCO World Heritage Site), away from the ski slopes on the famous Sellaronda circuit. On a lovely hike through meadows and woods covered in deep snow, you can discover the natural scenery of the Dolomites from an entirely new perspective.

Route: From the car park take the old army road up to Malga Piccolo Fanes. Up to the fork just before the Rifugio Fanes and the Rifugio Lavarella you can generally walk without snowshoes. At the fork turn right and climb across an altitude differential of approx. 100 m through the woods and across meadows (Parliament of marmots) to the plateau Plan de Serenes. From there you can see the peak of Col Toronn situated in front of the distinctive rock face of the Cima Nove. The level path leads westwards for approx. 500 m before becoming steeper, leading towards the Northwest to the ridge top that comes down from the peak of Col Toronn. Continue to climb to the right of the ridge top and in a left curve across easy terrain up to the highest point. Descent: Return by the same route to the Plan de Serenes plateau, then cross over to the South to the Rifugio Lavarella. Alternatively, return to the fork in the path and descend directly by the Rifugio Pederü.
On this easy hike through forests and fields, you can experience the magic of winter in the Dolomites at close quarters.
The Cherz Plateau, between the villages of Corvara, La Villa and S.Cassiano, offers a 360° panoramic view over the surrounding Dolomites. It also an outstanding viewpoint for the Marmolada glacier.

PARES 1538 m – FURCELA DE FURCIA 2294 m – JUVAC 2450 m approx. 912 m | approx. 3 hours Description: Set off from the Pares car park and keep right after about 20 minutes, following the upper forest trail to where the woods end. From there, continue across the beautiful mountain pastures to the Furcela de Furcia pass and take a right to reach the peak.

ALFARËI 1656 m – FURCELA DE LIJUN 2005 m – COL DAL LÈ 2178 m approx. 522 m | approx. 1 hour 40 Description: At Alfarëi, take the forest road marked 20B to Forcela de Lijun, then turn right in the direction of the Munt da Rina pastures and left at the crossing to get to the cross. Walk back along the same route.

One of the most beautiful snowshoe hikes is the tour from the beautiful Plätzwiese high plateau (2000 m) past the Dürrenstein hut to the magnificent Strudelkopf peak with its viewpoint (2300 m). This excursion is easy and ideal for all ages.

PÉ DE BÖRZ 1862 m – MONTEMURO 2332 m approx. 470 m | 2-2.5 hours Description: From the Pé de Börz car park on the road to Passo delle Erbe, take the forest trail to the Montemuro inn (closed in winter). From there, cross the ample ridge which leads to the peak. Easy hike to a safe peak with spectacular views.

Put on your snowshoes and set off for a magical adventure across the Armentara meadows covered in a soft and white blanket of snow. As soon as you take your first steps on the fresh snow, a unique panorama of the imposing Sas dla Crusc massif will sorround you. Once you reach the La Crusc hut, you can finally enjoy one of the typical Ladin dishes. We also recommend a visit to the highest little church in Europe, which is located just a few steps from the hut.
Superb hiking options along the ample ridge leading up to Monte Sommo-Sambock and a singular 360° view down onto Brunico-Bruneck, the Dolomites and the Zillertal Alps.
The snowshoe hike on the Cima Lasta/Astjoch Peak (2,194 m) is one of the most rewarding things to do in the area. The magnificent summit view of the surrounding mountains is simply impressive.

From the Rina sports grounds, a marked trail leads to the Munt da Rina/Welchellener Alm (catering facilities). The Munt da Rina mountain inn is open during the summer months. From there, you can hike on Col dal Lè all the way to the idyllic Lake Munt da Rina(Glittner See in German). Return along the same route.

An easy, enjoyable snowshoe hike through the snowy woods around San Candido/Innichen.
Sometimes you will go along a trail that may not have been cleared, so snowshoes are an advantage. Among other sights en route, you will also pass the historic Wildbad, which decades ago was a spa town for the nobility. There are also two mountain huts to choose from if refreshments are in order: the Jorahütte or the Riese Haunold Hütte, which is also the end point for this trip.
A beautiful snowshoe hike with moderate difficulty and beautiful view on the Dolomites, as well as on the main Alpine ridge and the Rieserferner peaks.

The ample meadows on the Cresta di Luson-Lüsner Kamm plateau offer a never-ending choice of hiking routes. This particularly stunning one from the hamlet Elle-Ellen up to Cima Lasta-Astjoch (2147 m) boasts a number of unrivalled panoramic views. The hike/snow-shoe hike is among the most rewarding in this part of South Tyrol: The views from the peak out onto the surrounding mountains are simply unforgettable.
Long and therefore quite difficult snow shoe tour. Until Cappella del Bosco/Waldkapelle chapel (2,5 h). Until Baita del Cacciatore/Jägerhütte hut (4 h). Descent to Sesto/Sexten (2 h) and return by bus to San Candido/Innichen.
From Brückele/Ponticello along the main road to the third turn, then follow the hiking path along the Stolla River to Stolla Alm hut; continue up-and-down to rato Plätzwiese high plateau (1,993 m).

The Innerfeldtal valley is the main recreational area for San Candido/Innichen and is definitely worth a trip.
