Three different cross-country skiing trails have been created in these immense meadows and can be reached within a few minutes' drive. At the hamlet of La Cialciara above Furnacia, just outside the village of La Val, there is a large car park from where, with a walk of about 20 minutes, you can reach the start of the slopes.

The cross-country skiing trail in the Langtauferer Valley runs alongside the Karlin river and offers a breathtaking backdrop of snow-capped mountains and forests. The trail is ideal for skiers of all levels and offers a route of approximately 4,5 km. The trail is well-marked and prepared, and offers gentle terrain with some light inclines and descents. Skiers can enjoy the beauty of nature and breathe in the fresh mountain air while exploring the trail

The cross-country skiing trail in Schmelz, starting at the Hotel Waldheim at 1520m, is a forest hiking trail. Here it is allowed to hike on the cross-country trail, to go sledding and dogs are also allowed, but must be kept on a leash.

The cross-country skiing trail in the winter wonderland of Langtauferers is the same route as the cross-country skiing competition for the Ski Classics series La Venosta. On this approximately 7 km long route, cross-country skiers can feel like professionals and tackle the challenge of the demanding terrain. The trail is well-marked and prepared and offers terrain with some steep inclines and descents that demand the most effort from athletes. The trail also offers a stunning view of the snow-capped mountains and forests of the Langtauferer Tal. Its moderate level of difficulty and the superb climatic conditions at Merano 2000 make the Falzeben cross-country skiing slope an ideal route for beginners, children and cross-country skiing aficionados alike. The track is suitable for both skating and classic cross-country skiing.

The trail begins just below the base station of the Gondola in Falzeben and runs for more than 3 kilometers through the snowy forests of the high plateau.

This trail is part of the ‘Loipa dal Sulagl’ (translated: sun trail) and lives up to its promise, as it lies on the sunny side of the Engadin. From Cinuos-chel, which is part of the upper Engadin, the trail climbs through the Bernina Group to the Lower Engadin village of Brail, which is reached after a rapid descent. In Val Punt Ota, you cross the border between the Upper and Lower Engadin.

The ski hiking trail from Schluderbach/Carbonin to Plätzwiese/Prato Piazza is only suitable for experienced and persevering cross-country skiers, as there are about 550 meters of altitude to be overcome.
The ski hiking trail is not only used by cross-country skiers, but also by winter hikers and ski mountaineerers.

Plätzwiese/Prato Piazza is a high plateao at 2.000m where is a magnificent panoramic cross country trail with the view over beautiful Dolomite peaks.

From one end of the village, this 23 km track winds down into the Marebbe valley through the quiet forests and snow-covered mountain pastures of the Fanes-Senes-Braies Nature Park, where the fresh air seems to glisten and the soothing tranquillity of the winter dominates the Dolomites. On many different routes (rings), cross-country skiing enthusiasts will find ideal skiing conditions as well as breath-taking surroundings and inviting mountain inns offering mouth-watering delicacies. Group lessons and individual lessons are available at the San Vigilio ski schools.

At the very heart of San Vigilio di Marebbe, close to the Aqua Bad Cortina Oasis Hotel, a beautiful cross-country slope sets off along the romantic Mareo valley all the way to the Pederü mountain inn. One glimpse of the picture-book winter landscapes and you won‘t be able to stop yourself from grabbing your skis and setting off into the White fields and forests, to relax far from the daily hustle and bustle. The slope is suitable for both classic cross-country skiing and skating. For all winter sports enthusiasts who wish to learn or improve their cross-country skiing, there are two ski schools in San Vigilio which offer both group lessons and individual lessons (p. 20). And of course you don‘t have to ski the whole 23 km of the slope: The track is arranged in a number of routes (rings) which allow you to return to San Vigilio at any time. Alternatively, you can catch a Mareobus and Citybus service to Pederü or to the football grounds (Skibus stop) and start skiing at different points of the slope. Höhenloipe auf der Sonnenterrasse Lü (1920 m ü.M.) mit einzigartigem Ausblick zum Ortlermassiv.

Technisch anspruchsvolle Höhenloipe auf der Sonnenterrasse von Lü (1920 m ü. M.) mit einer Länge von 3 km. Die Loipe ist dank ihrer Höhe sehr schneesicher und bietet einen permanenten Ausblick auf das Ortlermassiv. Die Loipe ist sowohl für klassische als auch freie Technik gespurt und verlangt wegen einigen kleinen Unebenheiten eine gute Langlauftechnik.

Das Val Müstair, Heimat von Langlauf-Superstar Dario Cologna und seinem Bruder Gianluca, liegt in der südöstlichsten Ecke Graubündens und erstreckt sich zwischen dem Ofenpass und dem italienischen Vinschgau. Auch dank der Popularität der Cologna-Brüder mausert sich das Gebiet immer mehr zum Langlauf-Eldorado.Die anspruchsvolle Talloipe startet in Valchava. Bei Fuldera führt die Spur durch den Wald und dann weiter über die Ebene von Palüds. Stets dem malerischen Rombach entlang, geht es bis nach Tschierv. Der Einstieg ist in Valchava, Fuldera und Tschierv möglich.Regelmässig gastiert die Tour de Ski, ein Wettbewerb im Skilanglauf über mehrere Tage, im Val Müstair. Für besonders Hartgesottene bietet die «Tour de Ski»-Loipe zum Schluss in Tschierv den Höhepunkt eines perfekten Langlauftags. Die Loipe ist hier besonders steil und anspruchsvoll.
