4th edition of Merano Ice Trophy Memorial Martina Barricelli an international figure skating competition of a high level of figure skating. This event is dedicated to Martina Barricelli a figure skating coach who passed away in 2021. This year will partecipate over 160 skaters from 21 country. For the first time at this event will be introduced the pair skating discipline with the competitors from all over the world with many recognisable skaters who is taking part in Europeans end Worlds Championships. There will be 8 skaters from the local ASM figure skating association and 3 of them are representing the Italian national team.

Snow does not always appear pure white, at least not to the attentive gaze of two painters like Alfons Walde or Max von Esterle. In his paintings, von Esterle poetically celebrates the magic of snow, while Walde - a little later - does so with concise expressiveness. This is the first time that these two important painters appear together in an exhibition. Alongside theirs, there are also snow-covered landscapes by other contemporary Italian and Austrian artists. All of these paintings create a variegated fabric that, unravelling, creates an unmissable spectacle. In the exhibition, of course, exponents of the art of our time with their abstract compositions or thought-provoking installations have not been left out. At the conclusion of the exhibition, in fact, at a time of climate change, a question about the ‘future of snow’ could not be left out: how much longer will we be able to enjoy this spectacle? The student project, realised by the Faculty of Design and Art of the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano in collaboration with the Palais Mamming Museum, highlights aspects of Klaber Thusek's creative work and shows drawings, sculptures and fashion designs. It also provides an insight into the artist's private life. A surprising answer to the question: ‘Who is Gina Klaber Thusek?’ emerges. Gina's diaries, in which she wrote about her life over decades, open up an initial perspective: they are not only a record, but also an artistic narrative in which reality and fantasy wrestle with each other. The photographs taken by friends and lovers - some of them under her direction - show even more clearly the inexhaustible creative will with which Klaber Thusek tried to realise not only her image as an artist, but also a woman's life beyond the usual boundaries in the interplay of conformity and transgression. No way!’ Serena Sinigaglia brings to the stage L'Empireo (The Welkin), the most recent text by British playwright Lucy Kirkwood, winner in 2014 of the Laurence Olivier Award, the highest accolade in British theatre, whose plays are hosted and produced by the National Theatre and the Royal Court Theatre in London. Translated by Monica Capuani and Francesco Bianchi, L'Empireo (The Welkin) is presented for the first time in Italy. ‘L'Empireo is an extremely monumental and ambitious text: set in the mid 18th century in rural England, it tells the story of a jury of twelve women summoned by a judge who cannot execute a girl for murder because she claims to be pregnant,’ writes Capuani, journalist and translator, a point of reference for English and French theatre literature. ’The female jury will have to decide the truth or otherwise of this claim, and will thus have the power of life and death over her. From this female microcosm, the fundamental and timeless issues of women's lives in any era emerge. First of all, the unfair treatment that the law written by men still exerts on women and their bodies‘’. Sinigaglia continues, ‘Empireo is the first play I have come across that tackles gender issues and does so without conceding anything to rhetoric or banality. It is dry, rough, true, on a par with reality. It also gives space to actresses, 19 characters of which 17 are female. Curling has a long tradition in the Schnals Valley. From the end of December to the end of February, there will be a fun curling event every Tuesday in the Texel sports zone in Madonna di Senales. The guests are accompanied here by their innkeepers or landlords. The winners take the Ötzi's World walking trophy home (to their hotel). We recommend winter-proof clothing, followed by tea & mulled wine.

The Ötzi Glacier Tour is an extremely varied one day round tour, which crosses the main chain oft the Alps. It takes place every Tuesday and upon request. The undisputed highlight of this accompanied glacier skitour is the discovery site of Ötzi the Iceman (3,210 m). Starting from Kurzras. From there we will travel by cable car to the Grawand mountain terminal (3,100 m./10,170 ft.), the actual starting point of our tour. From there, we will travel over the Hochjochferner (2,800 m / 9,186 ft.) to the Schwarze Wand and on to the Hauslabjoch (3,280 m./ 10,761 ft.) We will then descend to the Tisenjoch (3,210 m. /10,532 ft.), the site where Ötzi was discovered. After a brief stop, we will ascend to the Hauslabjoch and descend into the Hochjoch Valley and continue down the valley to Kurzras. With suitable snow conditions, the course of the tour may change after the site where Ötzi was discovered: descent past the Similaun Refuge (3,019 m / 9,905 ft.) and through the Tisen Valley to Vernagt am See. Return to Kurzras. Requirements and conditions of participation: change in elevation ↑ approx. 600 m (1,969 ft.), ↓ approx. 2,100 m (6,890 ft.); duration: approx. 7 hours; basic physical condition; good parallel skiing ability (ski tour experience not necessary).

Accompanied by our mountain guide, we head from the Mastaun farmstead (1,640 m) along the stream into the Mastaun valley. After passing the Mastaun alpine hut (1,810 m), the tour heads into the rear part of the valley up to an altitude of approximately 2,000 m. During a pleasant rest, you can enjoy the tranquillity of nature and the quiet winter idyll. Afterwards, you return to the meeting point. Walking time: approx. 4-5 hours including breaks. Height difference: approx. 400 -500 m uphill and downhill (approx. 6 km). Meeting point: 10.30 a.m. at the park area at Madonna di Senales. Minimum number of participants: 2 persons.
