We are accompanied to the charming Feldthurner and Latzfonser Alm mountain pastures with interesting facts about mountain pasture management and insights into the splendour of the flowers. We are rewarded with a marvellous view of the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites. There is the opportunity to stop for refreshments at the Klausner hut.
Route: From Kühhof via hiking trail no. 13 to the Klausner Hütte, back via trail no. 1. If good weather, we take the longer route via no. 14 + no. 8.
Start: 9.30 am Kühhof car park, hiking bus possible, walking time approx. 3,5 hours, moderately difficult hike, height difference 430 m, return at 4.30 pm Kühhof car park.

Chestnut farmers and Törggele businesses will roast chestnuts along the Chestnut Trail throughout the month of October.

Villanders/Villandro, Brixen/Bressanone and environs
In Villanders, processions are an integral part of religious and cultural life. On special church holidays such as Pentecost, Corpus Christi, the Feast of the Sacred Heart, the Assumption of Mary, and Rosary Sunday, the village community walks through the streets in a procession after Holy Mass. They are accompanied by the Villanders brass band and the “Anton von Gasteiger” rifle company, who lend the traditional celebrations a dignified and atmospheric character.

The hiking guide will accompany you on this easy circular hike through mountain pine fields to the demonstration distillery at Marzuner Schupfe. Here, you’ll gain an interesting insight into the distillation process, from the mountain pine to the essential oil.
For the lunch break, a mountain hut will be visited alternately.
Free of charge for holders of the Guest Pass and guests of member establishments. (Transportation and lunch not included)
Guided autumnal walk with stop at the "Törggelestube Gostnerhof". The farmer Luis shows you how to make "Barbianer Keschtn". With the "Keschtnpfanne" of course! We'll guide you through the colorful autumn in South Tyrol.
Meeting point at 10am at the Information Office Barbian. Hiking time: 3.5 hours, return at around 4pm, easy hike, good footwear, rain shelter.
For members of the Tourist Association Klausen, Barbian, Feldthurns and Villanders the hiking is free, for non-members it costs 8,00€ per person.

This hike leads leisurely along beautiful alpine paths to the Stöfflhütte hut (2057 m). We enjoy marvellous views of the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and hear interesting facts about the flora and fauna of the high moor along the way.
Route: Kaseregg car park via Trinner Alm on trail no. 15 and no. 1 to the Stöfflhütte hut (refreshment stop), back via trail no. 1.

10.00 am: „Törggele“ Market in the courtyard of Castle Velthurns with homemade specialties from the farmers as well as official opening of the 27th Chestnut Weeks at 10.30 am.
As part of the "Törggele" market, a flea market is held with everyday objects found in Feldthurns/Velturno. The education committee supports the Museum of Rural Culture project.

From 18th October to 09th November 2025, Feldthurns celebrates its autumnal cultural fruit: the chestnut. During the 28th Chestnut Weeks there is a varied program with guided tours, hikes, tastings and much more!. Discover pleasures of the chestnut from the rural cuisine and wine cellar at the period of the traditional "Törggelen".
It is requested to arrive in an environmentally friendly way.

Experience roasting chestnuts with farmer and wood carver Herbert Kerschbaumer. He explains how to properly collect, carve and roast chestnuts. The chestnuts are then tasted. You are welcome to visit the workshop with the hand-carved wooden figures.
