On 27 and 28 December, Johannes Stötter will be showing his body painting art for the 5th time in a show at the Theatre of Sterzing/Vipiteno, this time together with 2 guest artists, the body painters Marian Folga from Poland and Vilija Vitkuté from Sweden. An international and multidisciplinary art event in which the audience can experience not only different body art styles (UV effects, special effects, camouflage, illusion art), but also the integration of other art disciplines such as dance, acrobatics and film. The artists Vilija Vitkuté (Lithuania/Sweden) is a bodypainting artist who combines her art with dance, movement art and film. Unique to her work are her “extreme” projects in arctic areas, e.g. glaciers and volcanoes in Iceland, as well as her special effects art with handmade paper cut-outs. Vilija is a 2-time bodypainting world champion in the categories Special Effects (2019) and Camouflage (2021). Marian Folga (Poland) is a bodypainting artist whose skills go beyond painting and bodypainting; he is also a choreographer, photographer and makeup artist. His trademark is probably his dance and acrobatic shows in flourishing light. Marian has won numerous international body painting competitions and was world champion in the UV effects category in 2023 and 2024. Johannes Stötter is considered the most famous body painter in the world. His illusion works in particular are unique in the scene and have been published in many world media. His art is used in live shows, TV shows and various productions; the latest highlight was a film scene he created for Francis Ford Coppola's movie “Megalopolis”. Johannes is world champion in the categories “Brush/Sponge” (2012) and “Camouflage”(2023). Monte Cavallo ski area invites you to a romantic evening with an adventurous finale: a ride down Italy's longest illuminated and snow-covered sledding track. The gondola lift operates every Friday evening from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and the sledding track is illuminated until midnight. On January 18 and 19, 2025, the "Ski Test" event will take place at the Monte Cavallo ski resort. Exhibitors from renowned alpine ski brands will be available to answer any questions and provide personalized advice tailored to the needs of each skier. Take this opportunity to test the latest equipment directly on the slopes of Monte Cavallo! The ski test is coordinated by the Outdoor Center Vipiteno, the ski rental and school located right at the Monte Cavallo valley station.

The Hausberg Festival will take place on March 29, 2025, at the Monte Cavallo ski resort, offering live music both at the mountain huts and in the evening at the valley station next to the Biwak restaurant. A major prize draw is also part of the program, with exciting prizes up for grabs – the grand prize is a car! At this outdoor festival, visitors can enjoy a diverse lineup of musicians and performers, from the rock band “The Fuel” to the renowned DJane ENA from Vipiteno (among the top 6 DJs in Italy). The Saturday day pass is also valid on Sunday and automatically includes participation in the prize draw. The Hausberg Festival is the perfect opportunity to celebrate the winter season together.

From April 4 to 6, 2025, Monte Cavallo will host the third edition of the children's ski race “SKIDS - The Snow Festival.” Children and young people from all over Europe will gather here to compete in ski races on the same mountain that hosted the Ski World Cup in the 1980s. In addition to the races on the slopes, a rich program of games and entertainment is planned, not only on the snow. While the young participants engage in sporting competitions, coaches and parents will have the opportunity to exchange ideas and deepen their knowledge of skiing during discussion sessions and conferences. Participants will enjoy three days full of fun and entertainment, both on Monte Cavallo and in the town of Vipiteno. Every Friday, from the beginning of April to mid-October, farmers from the Sterzing area offer their local quality products at the farmers' market. At the market in the town square of Sterzing, people meet for the weekly purchase of local South Tyrolean products or for a "glass of wine". The varied offer ranges from traditional bacon and “Kaminwurzen” , fresh and smoked trout, cheese and yogurt specialties, homemade bread, organic wines, herbs, honey, eggs to homemade juices and fresh vegetables. Locals and guests have appreciated the market for over a decade now. Tip: Do not miss the delicious “Krapfen and Tirtler” of the Wipptaler farmers' wives!
