Before the Simian farm, a gravel road leads uphill (marker 4) until a wide trail cuts across the road to the mountain hut. Head between the larch trees until once again meeting the road. Heading left, after 10 minutes you reach the beautifully situated Riemerberglalm mountain hut with a view of the reservoir and the Hasenohr peak. The trail to the Kofelraster Seen lakes leads north via the meadows above the farm (marker 4). Bear left at a crossroads and continue hiking on a practically flat trail. The trail soon turns to the right (north) and ascends over the valley of the Kofelraster Bach stream. After a plateau, one arrives at the Kofelrast and shortly afterwards the first of the two Kofelraster Seen. Follow the left bank until it ends. Here on the left a marked trail begins up to the Hoher Dieb mountain towards the second lake, situated to the north. The trail splits right to Muttegrub (marker 7). Above the lake there is a steep climb over shingle until you finally reach the Muttegrub peak.

Astjoch (Cima Lasta) is the highest summit in the area of the Rodenecker Alm/Alpe di Rodengo. The hike leads from Ellen/Elle near St. Lorenzen/San Lorenzo di Sebato to this popular peak in the mountains of Lüsen/Luson, from where you can enjoy a breathtaking view on the Pustertal valley, the Austrian Alps and the Dolomites.

The Hohe Dieb is easy to climb and offers a unique view over the Ulten Valley due to its location.

This alpine path leads along the north-south route through the eastern Dolomites. During the course of the hike you will get to know interesting areas of the eastern Dolomites. The main route leads along an average height of 2,000 m - so you have to expect high-alpine conditions. With the exception of the last sections, which can be bypassed on an easier path, experienced hikers will have no difficulties.

Stages: 8 - 12 days

 

The Nagelstein above the village of S. Geltrude/St. Gertraud offers a magnificent view over the Ultental valley. The tour starts at the parking lot in Weißbrunn. We follow the markings no. 101 to the Fiechtalm, continue to the small Fiechtsee lake and finally reach the summit ridge. From here we follow the mark No. 109 to the summit.

The hike to Oberkaser Alp requires a degree of fitness and stamina, but rewards hikers with fabulous views of Merano and the Etsch Valley.

The Peilstein Mountain is an easily climbable summit above S. Valburga/St. Walburg with a fantastic panoramic view of the Ultental Valley.

Walking this Alpine ridgeway is a challenging task and therefore only advisable for hikers who are experienced, sure-footed and, above all, fit. From the scenery point of view, this trail does not have such open views as trail no. 4, for example. However, it does pass through some areas that are particularly remote such as the Sexten Dolomites, which is one of the scenic highlights of the hike.

Stages: 10-12 days

 

You can either walk up from the valley or catch the cable-car from Rabland to Aschbach at 1,340 mt. and take path no. 27 for approx. 1.5 hours to the Naturnoer Alm (1,922 ,t.) then on along path no. 9 for about 2.5 hours to the Naturnser Hochwart. Other paths lead up from the Kreuzbrünnl car park on the Naturnser Nörderberg (approx. 1,580 mt.) then to the Naturnser Alm, the Altalm or Zetnalm, the Frantschalm also called the Mauslochalm or via the Tablander Alm. Please note: There may still be snow drifts and ice along the path in early summer.

This path leads through the imposing rock reign of the Sesto Dolomites and the splendid Dolomites massifs Sorapis and Antelao. This route is recommended for experienced mountaineers only. Numerous sections lead along secured fixed-aid climbs amidst steep walls, and many easier climbing passages are present. Despite it's difficulty, path no. 4 is not overly demanding, since the path is located above the treeline for the most part and it does not feature huge differences in altitude.

Stages: 8 -10 days

 

Follow the trail 14B by the pass along the crest to the Astenberg summit. Afterwards on trail 14A crossing the hillside and at the junction further on trail 10 to the Tatschspitze summit (2530m).

Lunch possibility: Gasthof Alpenrosenhof, Penserjoch Alm

The Taufenscharte between Mutspitz and Rötl is the end point of a challenging mountain hike. The route contains both steep passages and, above all, some scenic highlights.

Following the trail 14B in Elzenbaum/Pruno upwards through the forest, passing by some farms and a fountain until arriving to the trail junction 14. Upwards on trail 14 to the Mandelseitenjoch (2114m) and further along the crest to the Zinseler summit (2421m). Lunch possibility: Brigittes Burgschenke

The beautiful circular tour from Antermoia takes us via the Malga di Rina (refreshment stop) to the idyllic Lake Rina - Lé de Munt da Rina.Passing Monte Muro and the hut of the same name (possibility of refreshments) we return to Antermoia via Pé de Börz

The exhausting ascent will be repaid by an amazing view of the surrounding mountains like the Pala Group, Marmolada, Sella, Sassolungo, Catinaccio and Ötztal Alps.

From the parking area "Winnebachtal/Val Vena" you hike belong the mark 23 trought the valley to the hut "Astnerbergalm" (open from may to octobre). After the hut the path gets a little bit steeper, but after the little waterfall begins the comfortable part of the tour, which will bring you to the hut and lake "Tiefrasten"(every day open from May to November). The Tiefrasten hut and the lake of the same name will spoil your palate and eyes. From there you can follow the path in 1 hour to the "Kempspitze".

Follow trail 12A by the Penserjoch pass, passing by the Penserjoch lake and the Steinwand lake. Cross the hillside below the summit and afterwards upwards at the right side along the short fixed rope route.

Impressive mountain tour in the fantastic scenery of the Geisler Group. The tour includes two moderately difficult sections, the Roa Scharte and the Pana Scharte, and is otherwise completely problem-free.

The ten Spronser Seen lakes are located in the heart of the Texelgruppe Nature Park, the largest high-Alpine lake district. This circular tour requires no little stamina and a good head for heights, but rewards experienced hikers with splendid views from various perspectives.

The Mutspitze, Dorf Tirol/Tirolo’s local mountain, is one of the most popular scenic mountains high above Meran/Merano and is one of the most climbed peaks in the Texelgruppe Nature Park.

The refuge Müllerhütte is located at an altitude of 3.145m above the Übeltalferner and is reachable only crossing the glacier. First route 9 to the refuge Becherhaus then from the Becher slightly descending to a level glacier crossing (watch out for crevices!) till reaching the refuge Müllerhütte.

Surefootedness and apropriate equipment strictly necessary!

 

 

Mountain hike to the panoramic summit of the Mount Luco (2434 m). The hike starts at the Gampenpass/Passo Palade (1518 m) on the opposite side of the Gasthof Gampenpass hotel. The hiking path no. 10A leads you in 1,5 hour to the Laugen Alm - Malga Monte Luco. After a short break at the Alm the tour continuous on the hiking path 10 to the peak of Mount Luco (2434 m). Just before of the last steep ascent, on a small mountain saddle you have the option to take the less technical way to the top of the Monte Luco Piccolo (2290 m). Between the summits oft the great and small Mount Luco there is the beautiful and magnificent mountain lake Luco. Thanks to its widely outlook and awe-inspiring view, the Mount Luco belongs to one of the most outstanding lookouts of South Tyrol. The way back is along the hiking path no. 8A through the grass-grown south ridge and then on the hiking path no 10A firsts toward the Laugen Alm and further down to the Gampen Pass.

Like the trails no. 1, 4 and 5, this Alpine ridgeway goes through the eastern Dolomites and offers irresistible views of the magnificent mountains all the way along. Most sections of this trail are either more difficult or longer and more hard work than Alpine ridgeway no. 1 and 2. In addition to the considerable differences in altitude that have to be overcome within short sections, the route also includes some steep trails that are secured with cables and in some cases are quite exposed, with short climbing sections up to Grade II level of difficulty. There are easier alternatives to these sections.

A wonderful tour with magnificent panoramic views leads from the hamlet Ellen up to Astjoch (2,147 m). The one-hour climb from the car park at the Kreuznerhof (1,481 m) through the forest zones via the Walder Alm to the summit of the castle stables to 2,194 m. There is a magnificent panoramic view of the valley of Bruneck, the gleaming white peaks of the Rieserfernergruppe in the north and the hikeable plateaus of Lüsner Alm opens on almost flat roads hikers can enjoy here the magnificent alpine landscape with the picturesque Seeaugen located between Postal and Rastnerhütte spread. The Almbauern maintain the centuries-old tradition of animal husbandry and today also offer comfortable rest stops. These places were much earlier visited by Mesolithic hunters groups as evidenced by finds of flint tools. The vast, beautiful pastures invite you to wonder and linger. For an extensive rest, the comfortable mountain huts worth it in the strong-field hut or the Rastnerhütte. On the way back on the Lofa-Alm and Alm-Moa, the trail crosses the gorge of the Burger-brook, before the hikers on the forest comes back to the starting point in Ellen.
