Since medieval times, butter and cheese have been produced in the pastures. Even today, dairy products such as natural butter, yogurt, cottage cheese and cream are still made there, particularly alpine cheese and local specialities such as "Graukas". You get delicious, home-made alpine pasture cheese at the Oberkaserhof at San Martino in the mountain.

Val Martello, also called "berry valley", is famous for its berries. Here you can get delicious strawberry- and berry products directly from the producer's cooperative, farm shop included. There are approximately 2.000 farmers in the Venosta Valley, producing over 200.000 tonnes of apples annually. Over 90% of the apples are grown following integrated crop cultivation methods in the most natural way possible, while about 6% are organically produced.

The trout smokehouse at Laces has different types of fish in there. Indigenous fish and also saltwater fish are part of the products.

In the farmer's shop you will find good, healthy and homemade products from Villnöss Valley. Various products are on sale in the village centre of St. Peter (Viel Nois Guest House). Open all day from Tuesday to Sunday; the shop is closed on Monday. 

In the Thairmühl supermarket you will find a wide variety of groceries and products directly from the farmer. Next door you can relax at a café.

Our delicatessen store, 'Flora Gourmet’, located in the pedestrian zone of San Candido, is the only shop for specialties and high-quality food in the Alta Pusteria region. Here, friends of good taste can find excellent products for all occasions and needs. From our hotel kitchen at the Boutique & Gourmet Hotel Orso Grigio, we daily offer fresh Italian pasta as well as dumplings and Schlutzkrapfen from the Tyrolean cuisine. The selection continues with specialties from near and far, Italian delicacies both sweet and savory, and, of course, a highly selective choice of top-quality wines. We are open daily from 09:00 AM until 12:00 PM and from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM and closed on Mondays.
