    Pěší turistika v Jižním Tyrolsku

Sluníčko svítí, všechno jste si sbalili - kam chcete jet dál? Vrcholky, štíty a věže Dolomit se lákavě třpytí v ranním světle. Jsou z vrcholu ještě krásnější? Údolí jsou protkána stezkami vedoucími přes vinice a jablečné sady, kolem impozantních hradů, kolem kouzelných jezer a podél kanálových stezek Waalweg. Jižní Tyrolsko nabízí více než 16 000 km značených turistických tras neustále se měnící přírodní krajinou, včetně tematických stezek, vícedenních túr a vysokohorských stezek.

The Witches’ Chairs and the Marinzen Alpine pasture
    Kastelruth/Castelrotto, Dolomites Region Seiser Alm

This hike takes you on the trail of the famous Schlern witches to the mystical witch's chairs. According to legend, the two rock chairs in the Tiosler Forest served as a resting place for the Schlern witches. Whether these are objects of prehistoric significance or simply a game of nature - we cannot say for sure. For the little ones, there is a children's playground at the Marinzen alpine pasture.

This hike can also be found in the family hiking book “Out and About with Nix the Witch”.

There was a historic monastery there, founded by the Carthusian monks in the 14th century.  Dressed in their white robes, the monks lived in silence. Some large parts of the monastery walls have been preserved, as are the Gothic cloister and the former monastery kitchen. There are a number of plaques along this themed trail with philosophical quotations relating to tranquillity and silence. The trail is signposted using life-sized figures of monks.

With the cable cars you can reach the "Speikboden Alm" at 2000 metres of altitude or the Sonnklar mountain at 2400 metres above sea level. Both are starting points for fantastic walks and hikes along well maintained trails. Mountainhut Klosteralm & Saxalbsee Lake
    Schnals/Senales, Meran/Merano and environs

According to oral tradition, after the dissolution of the Carthusian monastery of Allerengelsberg in 1782, the farmed Alpine pastures of Klosteralm (open from the beginning of June to mid / end of October, depending on the weather) at 2,152 m became the property of a number of families in Certosa/Karthaus who set up a syndicate which has thirty members today. The farm was only accessible by a narrow mountain path until a transport cable car was built in 1959. Thanks to the avalanche barrier beneath the Kreuzspitze, a road link was provided as an “ancillary benefit”. Due to its steep and stony pastures, the farm has been used almost exclusively as a typical farm for young cattle.
