This hike shows us the ancient artisan-zone, with mill and saw, who once a time use the water from the Kaserbach for power-unit.
From the center of Lüsen we pass the St. Georg Church, the playground until the pond. Then we go right on the light increase till the Oberburgerhof. Here we take the road down to the Mairhof and cross, after about 100m right down, the Lasankenbach, where it starts the Naturlehrpfad. Going forward we rech the artisan-zone, here we take the way back on the left to the center of Lüsen.

This, a little bit challenging, itinerary starts at the bridge next to the bar Verena on the road direction Würzjoch. We hike upwards on the path through the meadows along the brook Putzerbach, we pass the "Balbein Platzl" with a little pond, picnic-table and panorama lounger. Following the path through the woods, crossing the road to Flitt, we walk uphill to Flitt (1337 m). Here we can take a break and visit the idyllic chapel. The meadows of Flitt offer a beautiful view of the valley with the Peitlerkofel in the background. The path downwards, which is initially steep and its starting point is located at the farm Wurzerhof, leads us to the start of the toboggan run and then to the farm Örtlhof. From here we follow the path through the woods until we arrive at the farm Pekulerhof. Finally we walk on the street until the starting point at the Bar Verena.

The Plattspitze has been more frequented for a few years, but this mountain is not (yet) overrun. A beautiful, somewhat hidden high winter tour that offers all the attributes of a varied ski tour: Extensive and beautifully coppiced slopes and only a short section of forest.
A very varied ski tour in the rear Vallertal. The initial ascent via the toboggan run to the Fane Alm is soon overcome and the forest section in the area of the Fane Alm is also only of short duration, the extensive terrain throughout offers steeper and flatter sections for wonderful skiing enjoyment. The cirque at the foot of the summit is quite prone to avalanches from the sides and the somewhat steeper summit slope also requires safe conditions.

After a leisure ascent to the Kreuzwiesen Alm it goes over the "Almstrasse" back with the toboggan to the starting point at the parking Oberflitt or Schweiger Böden (Attention: it's a naturaltobogganrun andalsousedasaccessroadandascenttrail)

A relaxing hike along the ridge of mountain to the summit of “Steiner Mandl”, from where you can enjoy the 360°view of the panorama-plattform. The well-signposted trail no. 1a leads you from the cable raliway station on the top (2006 m, refreshment stops on the way )  Further, we carry on the trail 1a southwards to the summit of Steiner Mandl (2.118m). Backwards it goes the same way.

The cross-country skiing trail in Vals is a beautiful route that is perfect for cross-country skiing. It offers a diverse landscape and is well-maintained. The trail is suitable for both beginners and advanced skiers, with various difficulty levels available. There are also options to rent equipment on-site. Overall, the cross-country skiing trail in Vals is definitely worth a visit!

Starting at Hotel Sonneck in Schabs you follow trail no. 9 just above the service area Lanz in the direction to the lime pits. The first one displays a huge map with a description of its historic background. Keep following trail no 9A and past the little chapel „Urlaubsstöckl“ in direction to Aicha. For the return you can use the forward run or trail 8A „Ochsenbühel“ which leads to trail no 8 to Schabs. Then you follow the cycle path until you reach the starting point again.

Ski tours in South Tyrol are characterised by fantastic ascents, wonderful views and challenging descents.Just being alone with yourself and nature, the snow crackling under the skins stretched over your skis. Ski tourers seek the tranquility beyond the hubbub of the ski runs and are rewarded with a colossal view that was achieved under their own power above the rocky giants in the neighborhood.

From the Altfasstal car park go on the well-prepared Altfasstal Rundweg circular trail. 

The Großberghütte mountain hut is an inviting place for refreshments.

Cozy snowshoe hike on one of the most panoramic peaks in the Pfunderer mountains. From the car park at the Schneeberg (1,550 m), walk on the woodland route nr. 5 (it is also a toboggan run in winter) up to Lower Pertinger Alm hut (1,860 m). Go straight on in a northerly direction across the path. From the treeline mainly over a low hill to the summit (Am Joch, 2,405 m).

The first destination we recommend for cross-country skiing is one of Italy’s largest high-mountain plateaus: the Rodenecker-Lüsner Alp. What you will find up there is a 25-kilometretrail suitable for both classic and skating styles. The trail, which features a total elevation gain of 300 metres, leads from the Zumis car park to the Roner Alm hut in gentle ups and downs, and on past the Pianer Kreuz chapel to the Starkenfeldhütte hut. Both huts are open in winter and serve a range of tempting regional dishes. The view of the glittering alpine meadows and Mt. Peitlerkofel enjoyed from the trail adds a touch of fabulousness to the experience.

This simple excursion starts in the centre of Lüsen and passes through the antique artisan area. On the way of crucis we go along the river Lasanke till the Putzerbach. Here we go uphill to Balbeinbrücke until the roadway to Flitt and downhill to the Bacher Leiten. After the bridge we go uphill and we pass the Lüsnerhof at the left. On the idyllic forest track with an breathtaking view on the village, the valley and the mountains of Lüsen we go back to the village. On the way we pass the natural pond of Lüsen, who invites for a refresh.

From the swimming pool in Chiusa/Klausen, you walk along the main road to the crossroads for Velturno/Feldthurns. Follow the marked Wine Trail (Weinwanderweg), first along the road and then through the Leitach vineyards past various wineries up to the Hienghof farm and from there back down to the swimming pool. On the way you will get a fascinating insight into winegrowing in the Eisacktal valley and learn about the different varieties of grape.

The Pertinger Alm hut is located on the sunny side of the Pustertal above Terento-Terenten. From the car park at the Schneeberg a forest road (mark 5) leads up to the Pertinger Alm. At the top there is a magnificent view on the surrounding winter landscape.

Rungg – the idyllic children skilift in South TyrolLarge lift facilities made of cement and steel have not yet been allowed in the Lüsen Valley. The inhabitants prefer to live a more natural and authentic lifestyle and only allow modern facilities into the valley which offer an improvement, but don’t disturb the quiet atmosphere. However, there is a children’s ski lift in Rungg, where parents and skiing instructor teach children how to ski. The lift facility also has a ‘magic carpet’ (conveyor belt for beginners) at the children’s park. The ski lift in Lüsen is a winter oasis for kids.

The gondola lift for six people starts at the bottom station in St. Andrä and goes up to the mountain station in Kreuztal, rising almost 1000 metres in altitude. It is in operation in summer and winter and is the perfect starting point for the hiking and skiing area.

Cross-country skiing at the cross-country track in the village centre; 3 km medium diffi culty and 2.5 km easy. Natural snow, start at the sports center in Terenten.

From the car park in the village centre you hike in a north-westerly direction for 100 m along the Strada del Sole Road until you reach the Ternerbach River. This is the start of the educational mills path. Follow the sign-posts. At half way you reach the Jennewein guesthouse and the pyramids. After approximately 10 min. you will get to the 5 main mills. At Hansleitner Mill you can cross the bridge leading to the other side of the river. You hike past an old farm and reach the ski lift. From here you take the field path back to the village centre. You will get to Hotel Wiedenhofer and back to the Strada del Sole Road. Duration: 1,5 h

Starting point of the hike is the Widmann bridge in Brixen. Shortly along the O. von Guggenberg Street, turn right and on the Plattenweg path (marking 6) uphill to Cornale. Continue along the Via Crucis to San Andrea at the parish church of the same name. On the San Andrea loop trail the hike leads in a southerly direction to Meluno di Sopra and Cleran. From here take trail no. 8 down to Millan. On the Karlspromenade promenade descend to the Karlsburg residence and through the Plose path back to the starting point.

The little church of St. John the Baptist is located in Cornale and stands on a charming rounded hill. The Martyrdom of St. Ursula, which dates back to the Renaissance (c. 1520), is of excellent artistic quality.

The parish church of S. Andrea was first mentioned in 1177. Its late Gothic renovation around 1485 with presbytery and bell tower is still characteristic.

In Cleran the little church of S. Nicolò impresses the visitor with its rich late Gothic ornamental frescoes. The cycle of the Passion of Christ is a pictorial jewel of excellent quality.

The pilgrimage church of "Maria am Sand" with its depiction of the Madonna is the old parish church of Millan and dates back to the 14th century.

From Meransen, a varied trail leads mostly off-piste up to the mighty summit cross of the Gitschberg. Together with the AVS Vintl branch of the Bressanone section, this route was defined by the ski area operators and marked out in the terrain. All piste tourers are asked to follow the specified route and to respect the issued rules of conduct.

Alpe di Villandro is an extended high alpine pasture above the locality of Villandro. This alpine meadow is characterised by lush green meadows, moors, lakes and grass-covered hills. Numerous refuges are spread all over, offering traditional delicacies and a great place for a rest and having a cool drink.

Spanning Brixen/Bressanone to Franzensfeste/Fortezza, this exciting and instructive theme trail focusses on the history and cultural landscape of the Eisacktal Valley. On the 24 information boards found along the way, there is much to learn about the art and history of the oldest settlement in Tyrol, as well as its natural environment and geology.

The ski tour to Klein Gitsch is a quiet tour, away from any hustle and bustle, above Meransen. From the car park at the entrance to the Altfass valley, the hiker is immersed in the peace and seclusion of the winter forest. From the forest border, a wide panoramic view of the Sarntal Alps and the Dolomites opens up. Make sure you have enough food for yourself, as there aren't any places to stop for refreshments.

Experience the beautiful alpine village Fane Alp also in winter!

This winter hike to the Rittner Horn mountain starts at the Gasserhütte mountain hut. Follow the prepared winter hiking trail first to the Mair in Plun and from there to the Gasteiger Sattel saddle. Keep following the winter trail as far as the Rittner Horn. Refreshments are available en route at the Mair in Plun hut, Oberes Horn Haus and Gasserhütte. Return is by the same route.
