"La Buja" means swale in Ladin and is therefore the name of this medium-difficulty track, which leads to the swale at the far end of the cross-country centre. From there you can reach Seiser Alm through a connection track.
The Val Gardena Railway, which was built during the time of the former Austrian Monarchy to transport war materials from Chiusa to Plan, ceased operation in 1960. What remains is a lovely panorama road which connects the three Val Gardena towns and enjoys immense popularity with both walkers and runners alike. The route is suitable for both a short, gentle morning jog as well as for a long, extended run.
The Val Gardena Mountain Run, one of the most scenic mountain runs in the world, takes place every year in July in Val Gardena. The 14.5 km long route runs from Ortisei over the sleepy hamlet of St. Jacob in the UNESCO World Heritage area Puez-Geisler, and from there to the summit of Ortisei’s “local” mountain, the Seceda. The view which awaits us along the route and at our destination at 2,457 m is simply stunning. The return route can be taken comfortably by cable car.
It’s our duty to help protect nature and our Dolomites. We ask you to give up your car and visit the Dolomite Passes by foot, by public transport or by lift.
We run from the Ortisei parish church to the base station of the Seceda cable car, from there a small wooden bridge crosses the stream. The path now ascends slightly along the stream through the woods to the Cafe/Restaurant Annatal, where we turn around and run back to Ortisei. On the return leg, we pass a Kneipp facility where we can cool our legs.
The Palusc track is the perfect choice for hobby cross-country skiers. The beautiful track leads gently up and down until reaching the sunny Palusc meadow. Due to unusually mild temperatures, were called for closed the Palusc variant trail and the trail from "Palusc" to "la Buja".
With its easy ascents and descents through quiet forests and meadows, Mont Dessot is the ideal track for beginners and inexperienced cross-country skiers. With its 2,5 km length, it is also ideal for warming up.
The ideal track for the first attempts at cross-country skiing on flat terrain with slight up and downs.
Vedl Verzon is a challenging track with a dynamic profile, suitable for experienced cross-country skiers. After a first steep ascent, the track continues on slightly hilly ascents and descents through small alternating forest sections.
The path is peppered with various adventure stations using natural products. Ideal entertainment for childeren and parents alike. The unique backdrop sets the tone for the whole walk and guarantees a fun time surrounded by nature for all the family.

What do they have in common? They are all well-groomed slopes and offer breathtaking views across the legendary Dolomites mountains.
