The easy hike through woods and meadows leads to the Häusler Sam hut, which is situated on a meadow surrounded by forest. The trail brings hikers close to the alpine nature of the "Sam Hill". A stop at the Häusler Sam hut is worthwhile to taste one of the many typical dishes of South Tyrolean cuisine, to rest on the lawn or to admire the many animals such as llamas, donkeys, cows or ponies.

How well do you know our trees and woods? Set off for a real adventure on the Rodeneck nature trail, where you and your family can explore the forest world in all its many facets. The trail starts by the Ahner Berghof farm and leads o the local reservoir, and is equipped with exciting stations that guarantee great fun for young and old. Put your balance to the test and craw through the tree trunks or have fun throwind pine cones... no room for boredom! You can easily reach the starting point, the Ahner Berghof, with the Almbus shuttle No. 415 (it runs every hour)

The LATEMAR.NATURA trail was made for families and nature-lovers and leads through alpine landscapes and altitude zones to discover natural habitats of the alpine region. Interactive stations make the hikers aware of the nature around and acquaint them with the local flora and fauna.
The Oberholz hut at the mountain station acts as starting point of a hike underneath the rocks of Latemar. With its modern architecture, the unique location and the 360° panoramic terrace, the Oberholz hut is a true highlight.

The Mortner Gufl is located on the old Steinegger carriage road, which at that time connected Steinegg|Collepietra with Kardaun|Cardano and Bozen|Bolzano.  About 500 m from the farm Mortner in the direction of Kardaun, there is an extensive, flat square with a thick stone slab hanging over it, as if it wanted to provide a protective roof for the little place. It is said that a hermit, the Mortner Hias, lived here during the First World War. He even set up a farm oven in this natural dwelling and walled the place up. The hermit wove baskets here. During the Second World War, this place was used as an air-raid shelter for the inhabitants of the nearby farm Mortner. Some remains of the wall can still be discovered and admired today.
In 1951, there is also said to have been an apparition of the Virgin Mary at this special place.
A descriptive board on site tells of these extraordinary occurrences at the Mortner Gufl.

The Spitzner Alm is located above St. Walburg on the south side at an altitude of 1856 metres. The Alm offers home-made products such as Alpine cheese, butter, traditional Alpine dishes, home-made juices, strudel, Kaiserschmarrn and much more. It is also possible to stay overnight on request.

Very sunny and well sheltered from the wind, the Winter Promenade runs along the river; it is the natural continuation of the Passer Promenade. Its most distinctive landmark is the Wandelhalle covered passageway, which provides shelter from inclement weather. The Wandelhalle also houses a gallery of paintings depicting landscapes of South Tyrol and busts of significant figures in the city’s history.

Hike on the Gschneierwaal Canal Trail in Schluderns/ Sluderno

Relaxing walk from the centre of Steinegg|Collepietra to the hotel 'Steineggerhof'. There the new mountain cinema awaits us with a magnificent panorama of the Ritten|Renon, the Eisack|Isarco Valley, the Raschötz|Rasciesa, the Seiser Alm|Alpi di Siusi, the Schlern|Sciliar, the Hammerwand|Croda del Maglio, Tschafon|Monte Cavone and the Rosengarten|Catinaccio.

A twin to the Winter Promenade located on the opposite side of the river, the Summer Promenade has wonderfully lush vegetation: cedars of Lebanon, giant redwoods, poplars and various species of pines provide shade and a cool respite from hot summer days. At the beginning of the promenade, you’ll find Sissi Park; an elegant sculpture of Empress Elisabeth of Austria, done in Lasa marble, presides regally over the park.

In Obereggen, families and nature lovers hike with particular enjoyment. The LATEMAR.NATURA adventure trail not only features interactive stations that provide interesting information about animals and plants, but also leads directly to the new Eggental mountain cinema, which shows us a wonderful mountain panorama.

This itinerary takes you through a fabulous natural landscape featuring sunny terraces, children’s playgrounds and the Almenkneippweg, a path that passes four different stations.

Tip: you can rent mountain bikes for the way back.

Named after the torrent that flows through the city, this promenade winds along the right bank of the Passer River, in the centre of Merano/Meran. There are two stretches, one between the Ponte della Posta and Ponte Teatro, the other that hence takes to the Ponte di Ferro.

In the first part there are many artistic flower-beds, palms, ice-cream shops and cafes. Here you can admire the liberty architecture of the Kurhaus, whereas on the lower part of the promenade, surrounded by various historical buildings, you’ll find the artworks of the Human Figures project.

The promenade is easily walkable with pushchairs, too.

The Weißbrunner hut is located directly at the Lake Weissbrunn. The Lake can be reached by car via St. Gertraud. Traditional Alpine dishes await you at the hut.

This theme trail connects the two star villages of Gummer | S. Valentino and Steinegg | Collepietra. On this varied hike, you can dive into the secrets of the starry sky and the universe together with our mascot LUXI at 7 different stations.
Through an oversized old camera at the beginning of the trail, you start or zoom yourself directly into the universe, so to speak. On the way, you will test a date sundial and a rotating star map, pass the observatory and solar observatory, learn how to orientate yourself in the night sky, children can let off steam in the rocket tree house and finally you will end up at the Mini Star Trail in Steinegg | Collepietra, which is illuminated in the evening in the correct colours of the respective stars.

The enchanting middle circular winter route around Lake Carezza transforms into a picturesque winter hike of approximately 1 hour. The trail meanders through snowy forests and along the frozen lake, offering stunning views of the Dolomites dressed in winter. This hike is perfect for families and winter enthusiasts looking for a relaxing stroll through a winter wonderland. Suitable for all ages, the loop also features cozy resting spots to enjoy the wintry atmosphere.

The trail leads from St. Nikolaus through the forest into the Auerbergtal valley and can be followed on the hiking trail as well as on the forest path. The mountain hut offers traditional alpine dishes in a rustic setting.

This family hike, which is suitable for prams, takes you along the tarmac road with little traffic from the bus stop Lantschnay / Schenken car park to the observatory and Untereggerhof Inn near Obergummer / San Valentino di Sopra with its children's playground and petting zoo. A section runs along the Planet Trail.

This trail will take you along alpine meadows to interactive stations and inform you about alpine pasture farming and the Dolomites World Heritage Site. Toni and Klara must find their small calf Peppi in this interactive audio game.

The Lake Carezza in Val d'Ega is famous because of its beautiful colors and therefore it is often called Lec de Ergobando - Rainbow Lake. It is 300 metres long and 140 metres wide. The Lake Carezza is fed by underground springs from the Latemar, which is why its size and depth are heavily influenced by the season and the weather - so don't worry, the Lake Carezza will not dry up. The lake is a protected natural landmark - therefore it is important to treat it with respect and not to exceed the protection limits, so the beauty of this special lake will remain for a long time.

The Latemar World Heritage Site promises unforgettable adventures and a one-of-a-kind nature experience. In summer 2023, Obereggen's new adventure programme will feature along three different paths the Magical Tales of the Dolomites, the Storm Vaia and thrilling poacher legends. Various installations, booklets, maps, audio games and an app will help children aged 6 to 14 solve difficult puzzles and tasks in analog and digital formats. The entire family can actively participate in the adventures and earn valuable points that will help with specific reforestation of the woods. On the Poachers's Trail - Audio game hike: 2 hours, 1.3 km (trail nr. 23, LATEMAR.NATURA). It’s 5:30 am. At the crack of dawn, Klara and Toni left the Jörglhof with you. ​​ They want to take advantage of the breaking dawn to introduce you to the diverse wildlife of their home, Latemar. Suddenly, the forest’s silence is disturbed by a loud bang – a gunshot! Startled you stop … trampling, branches and twigs cracking, a young deer rushes across the path in front of you and disappears in the bushes. In the distance, you hear a suppressed curse – a poacher! You want to stop the rascal and thus, secretly take up the pursuit – an adventurous hunt begins. In the process, you have to master exciting and tricky challenges.
