On Wednesday, July 23th, it’s that time of the year again: The volunteer fire departments of Marling invite everyone to their traditional summer festivity! The event starts at 6:00 PM at the Marling fairground and promises an evening full of great food and entertainment. Look forward to a variety of delicious grilled specialties as well as tasty vegetarian dishes – there’s something for everyone! Musical Highlight: The popular band “Die Grubertaler” will once again accompany you through the evening with great music! The volunteer fire departments of Marling is excited to welcome you!

Experience the magic of dusk on the Hochmuth! Take the cable car to the mountain station, where a welcome aperitif awaits. The next highlight is on the terrace of the Hochmuth inn: a concert by the band "Bergblech". Finally, your hiking guide will take you along the night-time forest track back into the valley.

This apple tour will tell you everything you ever wanted to know about our local fruit. You can explore the plantages in the company of our apple expert Franz and follow the storage, sorting, packaging and shipping of the South Tyrolean apple. Our apple expert will let you in on all kinds of secrets about our apples' goodness, the varieties and how best to store them at home. Registration required: Until Monday at 4 PM online or at the Tourist Association Marling. The event takes place in German.

We take the bus to the Öbersthöfe in Vernuer/Vernurio. The hike leads us along trail no. 5 to the alpine hut Obisellalm and the natural mountain lake Obisellsee. With hiking guide Marlene, we continue along trail no. 21 to the Hahnenkammhütte hut, offering a wonderful panoramic view over the Merano basin. We return to the starting point via a beautiful forest path. Walking time: approx. 5 h | Difference in altitude: approx. 880 m The hike will be in German and Italian.

Approach on the Timmelsjoch high alpine road to the parking space near the Oberglanegg Alm hut. Ascent on trail no. 20 to the Königsjoch and via the east ridge, which is partly exposed and has easy climbing passages, to the Grenzgipfel (Border Summit). The descent follows the same route. Rousing songs and a great atmosphere are on the cards when “Die Draufgänger” rock the festival grounds in Dorf Tirol on August 1st. The repertoire and unmistakeable style of what is currently Austria’s most successful party band features party tunes, hits and folk music, seasoned with a sizeable helping of humour. The party kicks off at 7 pm with the support act, “The Snoops” from South Tyrol, who will help heat up the atmosphere with their energy-charged performance. Then, at 9 pm, it’ll be time to clear the stage for the main act and put the spotlight on energetic summer vibes, cool drinks, delicious food and partying to the very best hits!

Church day in Aschbach On Sunday 4 August, starting at 10:00 a.m., the traditional "Kirchtag" will take place in Aschbach. Music, food and drink will be provided. The Algund Volunteer Fire Brigade looks forward to seeing you.

Would you like to learn more about the crunchy all-rounder apple? Then a guided apple tour through the orchards is just the thing for you. Our fruit farmer will accompany you and tell you everything you need to know about this diverse fruit. As a culinary conclusion, you can expect a tasting of delicious apples and apple juice. Did you know that wild plants are bursting with vitamins and minerals? On a short hike with herbalist Rosi, learn what wild herbs are all about and collect a wide variety of seasonal herbs, which are then creatively processed in a workshop. The guided tour will be in Italian.
