"Titlá" ("feel free") was the response of an innkeeper 35 years ago when asked if playing music was allowed in his establishment. Since then, South Tyrol’s most successful folk band, Titlá, has been captivating audiences with its unique style of folk music. Drawing inspiration from Irish and Celtic melodies and sounds, the five musicians have forged their own path into traditional Tyrolean folk music. Fiddle and bagpipes, flute and tuba, as well as drums and guitar, all contribute to their unmistakable sound. Their well-crafted, self-composed songs make Titlá instantly recognizable and have brought them success and acclaim beyond the borders of South Tyrol. Their lyrics are deliberately sung in dialect, a way to rediscover and preserve their cultural heritage—both musically and linguistically. The current concert program presents a diverse mix spanning 35 years of shared musical journey.

Starting from the village center, the nature and landscape enthusiast Martin leads you along a trail that winds through quiet streets, passing by the Cantina Merano Winery and several other local wineries. Along the way, you’ll encounter informative panels about the history and culture of wine, as well as larger-than-life winegrowing constructions. This approximately 1, ½ -hour walk concludes with a wine tasting at a local winery in Marling or the Cantina Merano Winery in Marling. Guided by a winemaker or cellar master, you’ll enjoy a selection of local wines paired with a traditional “Marendbrettl” (South Tyrolean snack). The last ice age shaped the landscape of Stelvio National Park. How can we still recognize the impact of the ice age today? What is a "rock glacier?" Approach to Stuls/Stulles. Ascent on trail no. 14 to the mountain meadows above Stuls, where a fixed rope makes the ascent easier over the last few metres. The descent follows the trail via the Hochalm and the Egger-Grub-Alm huts back to the parking space. The summer mushroom exhibition is organised by the Urania Merano in collaboration with the Bolzano branch "Mykologischen Vereins Bresadola". They expect to be able to exhibit more than 200 species of mushrooms, including some potentially deadly poisonous mushrooms, at the 13th Merano Mushroom Exhibition. This year, a mushroom inspection centre will once again be set up at the mushroom exhibition: On Saturday, visitors can bring their mushrooms to the exhibition and have them identified by an expert. This year, as last year, there will be a supporting programme for mushroom lovers. Opening From 9.00 to 12.30 pm and from 14.30 to 7.00 pm Free admission, no registration necessary.
