On Easter Monday, the Haflinger gallop race marks the beginning of the new racing season at the Merano horse racing track. In the morning (at 10 a.m.) the magnificently decorated floats and music bands parade through the city center. Programme of events at the racecourse starts at 11 a.m. and the race starts at 1 p.m. An interesting programme of side events and culinary treats enhances the thrilling racing action. The Merano Flower Festival is a must for botany and garden lovers and a colourful experience for all those who love beauty. The Kurpromenade, with the Kurhaus as a backdrop and elegant architectural setting, creates the perfect ambience for this exclusive flower and ornamental plant exhibition. The offer ranges from plants, flowers, seeds, gardening tools to garden objects. The exhibitors have been selected by the journalist, book author and Grand Dame of the flora, Mimma Pallavicini, who has set the pace of horticulture and nature awareness in Italy for over 30 years.

It is impossible to imagine Lana without the "Bäuerliche Genussmeile - Local Farm Deligths", the annual get-together during "LANA IN BLOOM" in spring. Over 50 farmers, including local gastronomists, will occupy the Gries, in the car-free centre of Lana, and will be available to visitors from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to taste, buy and enjoy. The top priority is best quality and unconditional freshness. The "Roter Hahn" (Red Rooster), the quality brand of the South Tyrolean Farmers' Union, ensures this. The restaurants in the pedestrian zone of Lana serve exquisite spring dishes and wild herb specialities according to old and new recipes and serve fine wines. An exclusive spring treat awaits pleasure-lovers on 26 April, when Goyen Castle, unusually, opens the gates to its medieval courtyard. Accompanied by lively music, nibbles and sparkling beverages, on this special morning mouths will water and no heart will be left untouched. The Partschins Band is holding a musical day in the village. A wide variety of music groups belonging to the Partschins Band will play between 10 am and 8 pm, including the “Böhmische”, “Zieltolböhmische”, “Flo & Co” as well as many other groups. There will be plenty of food and drink available.

Visitors can enjoy a colourful and busy market under the canopy on Raiffeisenplatz market square in Schenna. Producer from South Tyrol present the tasty specialities and healthy delicacies grown and made in their gardens, fields and cellars. Artisans from the South Tyrol region also display their original crafts at this market.

From 1st May to 5th May, the event Algund Gardenflair will once again take place on church square in Algund. At the Algund Gardenflair a variety of Mediterranean plants and trees such as palm trees, cacti, olive trees, various fruit and berry trees and herbs, as well as various works of art and all kinds of decoration for the garden will be offered. Exhibitors with different herbal products, such as teas, salts and spice blends, as well as specialties from the garden complete the program.

Our Packraft - Tour homerun (difficulty level medium) is something for adventurous water rats who want to test themselves and conquer the Adige river in their own boat. With action, fun and assertiveness, we master rapids, go around obstacles and relax on calm passages. Accompanied by one of our qualified guides, the tour begins at our rafting base in Rabland/Rablà, where the equipment is handed out. With bag and baggage we go to Ciardes/Tschars. Arriving at the boat entrance, we unpack our packrafts (inflatable kayaks) and pump them up. As soon as all the kayaks are ready, there is an introduction to the paddling technique and a detailed safety briefing. Shortly after, we're off into some extraordinary, splashing water fun. Safety: Only a safe experience is a lasting one. That's why our guides are highly trained. We also make no compromises when it comes to equipment. It is up to date and meets all required standards.

Our farmer will guide you through their fields, explains you about the healthy ingredients, the production area and about all sorts and brands of the South Tyrolean apple. Gain insight into the secrets of the apple farmers - from the latest technology of today and the gnarled giants of the past. Afterwards, you can taste for yourself.
